Why is a raven like a writing desk?

What would happen if instead of working tirelessly to find solutions, we first set out to ask more questions? Would we gain a deeper understanding of our problems? Would we be more in touch with the factors involved? In asking more questions are we brave enough to confront the deeper more systemic problems that we are sure to uncover in the process? Are we willing to change course when these problems are identified? Sometimes I think that people are afraid to ask questions solely because they are afraid to deal with the lack of answers. In the face of more questions, they crumple.
